#Sudan has extended the Adré border crossing with #Chad for another three months, preserving one of the last functioning humanitarian corridors into #Darfur, while the Sudanese Armed Forces (#SAF) have claimed advances in Blue Nile state.
The Adré renewal, running until 30 September, keeps a critical aid route open for humanitarian operations into Darfur and parts of Kordofan. The crossing operates under a joint monitoring mechanism involving the #UN and the SAF-led government in Port Sudan. Aid agencies continue to warn that humanitarian access across Sudan remains vulnerable to insecurity, administrative restrictions and disruptions linked to the conflict.
In Blue Nile, Sudan Tribune reported SAF claims of recapturing two areas in clashes with RSF-affiliated forces and #SPLM-N al-Hilu. The claim remains unconfirmed. The reported fighting concerns the Kurmuk–Sennar corridor, which runs from the Ethiopian border toward central Sudan and is strategically relevant to the wider war. Blue Nile borders #Ethiopia and South Sudan and has a long history of armed conflict. Renewed fighting there could deepen displacement, complicate aid delivery and add pressure to SAF supply lines as the army seeks to consolidate gains around Khartoum.
